Mister Universe Model 2011 FINALS
So another year of MUM has past. This year was much more difficult to predict with no frontrunners nor did there seem to be a leading pack so I saw a lot of varying Top 15s listed everywhere. The final 5 weren't too my taste but I was generally happy for them, so here are the Top 5.
Slovenia 5th, Luxembourg 3rd, Venezuela Winner, Dominican Republic 2nd, Bolivia 4th
Slovenia has always been a shock to me, he's not a bad candidate but I never understood the love for him. I placed him 24th. Bolivia was a decent candidate he placed 7th for me. Luxembourg was a favourite I think for the crown, I placed him 9th. Dominican Republic was a shock, I didn't expect the organisation to like him so much, he came 23rd for me. Venezuela was probably one of the frontrunners for the title because MUM values his type, he came 8th for me.
So none of my top 5 made it! Which were Portugal (8th), Belgium (25th!), Chile (9th), Ukraine (10th) and Serbia (7th) - boo at 4 of my Top 5 only making the Top 10!
It seems the scoring was based on the preliminaries until the Top 5, that's where I realised how the organisation screwed over Serbia and South Africa. Serbia was at 4th place after the three preliminary segments but scored lowly with the organisation so came 7th overall. I was shocked the organisation didn't like him that much because he was taking a lot of pictures with them. Dominican Republic was there favourite :S Instead Bolivia replaced Serbia in the Top 5. I don't understand why they didn't like Belgium though, he was my pre contest favourite.
However good job to Serbia for scoring 1st on the interview round, only his swimsuit let him down - but he was still 12th in that.
However I don't get how the average scores for each round were done because I tabulated the scores from each judge and none of them seemed to fit with the overall segment scores, unless one judge had more of a say or something. But the organisation didn't change any of the Top 5, they just moved them around a bit.
So from my rankings I got 11 out of 15, a good job I think. However the judges didn't see what I saw in Colombia and placed him 39th! France only got 23rd, Denmark just missed out at 17th whilst Belgium only made 25th!
Overall sadly I don't agree with the judges this year as much as I did with Tarik, Leo, Edgar and Tuur last year. I think MUM focuses too much on body beauty sometimes. I think Milos should go to one of the other pageants as he'll probably do much better there than at MUM.

Your favorites probably refused to give head to the organizers which was a prerequisite for doing well at the pageant I'm told.
Afraid so, my favourites are too classy for this pageant.
The scores of that lecherous old hag, Mia Cepeda, are missing. That is why the scores don't tally. She probably had her hands down a contestants' pants evaluating his potential as a winner.
lol! But Venezuela, DR and Bolivia probably are packing down there.
To be honest, I tried to vote. I live in USA and I tried every search keyword I could. I met the guys and played beach volleyball while I was in the Dominican Republic for a week. I got on the computers there and it came up as the first thing in the search. Back in the states, when I tried to pull it up, I couldn't find where to vote. Mr. Portugal and Mr. Mexico won best personality in my book!
