All Over The Place: May 2010

First Crush

It's been a while since my last post, been quite tired with everything lately but things seem to be improving.

Remember I talked previously about a girl I had a crush on, well I think she's the only crush I've had. There have definitely been boys that I've wanted to have it on with but I think love is more than just sex, personally I think sex can be detached from love, just because you like sex with a boy doesn't mean you're gay and vice versa. I think love is deeper than that; sex is just something you share that is pleasurable. I never wished for sex with this crush of mine but I really wanted to be with her. I'm over her now but I wanted to know her then.

She was a brunette, about 2 inches shorter than me, hazel eyes and I must say she was fit. She was basically in every class I was in but we only knew and occasionally talked to each other, we weren't friends. I just remember getting extremely defensive - in my head - when somebody bad mouthed her but in a joking way. I don't think she was necessarily the prettiest girl I knew, acne did take over her most of the time but in my eyes she was the prettiest at that time. I never plucked up the courage to get closer to her because I knew it wouldn't work - we had very little in common, but it felt good to just be around her.

It's difficult to explain all these feelings and what I'm saying may sound confusing and bullshit to some but I'm being extremely honest here about everything. I don't know when I lost that crush, maybe it's because she's not in any of my classes anymore and I basically see her once a month, I don't know, but I know I'm long over her.

Mister Universe Model Winners!

Pageant Freak is back :)

Mister Universe Model has really made my year! The contestants were decent, the coverage was good, the finalists were fantastic and the skin shown was enough to keep me erect for the next month!

If anybody knows where I can watch the pageant please tell me :)

Very few pageants have actually provided such a good bunch of finalists, yes there were at least 2 who I'd like to have seen in the semis and one sad omission from the top 5 but besides that everything went smoothly.

Anyway here's the results...

WINNER: Bosnia and Herzegovina - Tarik Kaljanac

So so happy, He was definitely my favourite, he's just GOT the package

1st Runner Up: Chile - Leo Opazo

Go Chile! Wasn't expecting this but I love Chile! He was my third favourite.

2nd Runner Up: Belgium - Tuur Roels

Go Belgium! Woohoo! I love Belgium! He was my fourth favourite. Just such a cheeky but cute guy :)

3rd Runner Up: Venezuela - Edgar Moreno

WOW! This gets better and better. I thought he'd be 1st Runner Up but anyway he was my fifth favourite - if 4th Runner Up was Canada I think I wouldn't be able to sleep... BUT

4th Runner Up: Cyprus - Christos Christodoulides

Oh, I didn't expect this nor was he one of my favourites. I think he is definitely hot but he did nothing for me tbh and I didn't expect him to take over France - who I always compared him with because they evoked the same kind of vibe to me. Anyway that's Ok at least he's HOT.

Top 15 Semifinalists

I'm a bit confused, I thought there were only 12 semifinalists? Anyway...

Argentina: Daniel Fernandez Del Castano

I knew he was in for a shot, not in my selection though.

Brazil: Daniel De Jesus

He's Ok, don't really know whether I was expecting it or not.

Canada: Matt Aymar

very sad that he didn't make the Top 5, he's just so dreamy! Anyway at least he made the semifinal.

Denmark: Anders Houmann

Wasn't expecting this! I kind of grouped him with Australia and USA, the smily guys who look a bit more mature, and I thought out of the 3 he had the smallest chance of making it.

Dominican Republic: Ostwal Gonzalez

I think I was somewhat expecting this but seeing it officially is still kind of a shock.

France: Dadou Otman

He gets him for his physique alone. He was in my Top 12 btw.

Honduras: Carlos Orantes

Wasn't expecting this but I can see why he got in.

Puerto Rico: Martin Morales

Yep definitely, he's such a cute guy, his modelling chops are also FAB!

Saona Island: Alexander de los Santos

Yeah! Love Saona Island, even though I have no idea where it is - must be Caribbean right?

Switzerland: Sebastian Bossert

Wasn't expecting this. Anyway that rounds of the semifinalists and whilst not all were in my list at least the ones chosen are relatively good looking (because there were a few bad looking guys in the bunch)

Those that Should have made it:

This list is quite small because many of my favourites got in, unlike in most other pageants where I can at least rattle off 10 names (cough cough Mr World - the weirdest finalists group ever). In fact there's only 1 in this group who I was really quite disappointed when they didn't make it and that was Austria.

Australia

I like his vibe, he seems like a charming man and fun to be around with.

Austria

At times he looked a bit like a teenager but his modelling chops are just so so good and he's so cute.

Costa Rica

I grew to like him more and more as I began to notice him.

Spain

I knew he wasn't going to get in but I liked him - boy next door

Those that I thought would make it:

Ecuador

I really thought Ecuador was going to make it because of his smile.

Guadeloupe

I just thought there was going to be somebody of African descent and he was the more likely out of the two.

Mexico

After winning Mr. Photogenic I thought he was a shoo-in but obviously not. But thank god he wasn't.

USA

As I said I grouped him with Denmark and Australia. I thought one of the 3 was going to get in, obviously it was Denmark.

Overall I'm really happy with the results. Mister Universe Model has provided me with so much enjoyment throughout the past few weeks, I'm beginning to fall in love with male pageantry. I wish the pre pageant favourite, Italy, also competed though.

God, this brings me back to the disappointing Mr. World where so many hot guys didn't make it... Columbia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, South Africa, Spain and Sweden to name a few. Mister International Manhunt International to go!

I love this guy! He may not be the best looking or have the best physique but he's just so cute. And actually I think he's the best model out of the bunch. Every time I see photos of him on a catwalk he just brings it. He looks like he can walk in New York, Milan, Paris etc etc and not look out of place - he just has that model look.
